How does the “Profit-Web” operate? WWW browser and web server address is everything a client needs to have in order to use business management system “Profit-Web”. Web server might be the same computer which holds the salary database or absolutely different one. Client neither sees, nor knows where the database is located; client-side communicates with it through the web server. The business management system “Profit-Web” is installed in the Web server which communicates with the database. “Profit-Web” is based on Java; therefore it is not dependant on an operating system very much. The client receives html pages. Moreover Java does not connect to the database directly, which allows high level of data security. It is allowed to configure web server in a way that it could be accessed only from the local computer or/and from any place in the world where the Internet access is available.
